The Severn’s Club, formerly the Stourport Workmen’s Club located just off Lickhill Road, now offers, live entertainment and an extensive games room with snooker, pool and the latest “smart darts” games to choose from.
There are live acts performing throughout the week, in addition to our function rooms available to hire for your own events.
With the club recently undergone a full renovation, it’s now one of the best places for miles that offers all of these facilities under one roof.

The Severn’s Club is the latest chapter of a long history in Stourport
The Severn’s Club, formerly known as the Stourport Workmen’s Club, has a rich history that can be traced back to the early nineteenth century. Initially, it was a in a private residence located at 2 Lombard Street, belonging to George Pearce Baldwin and his second wife, Sarah Chalkley Stanley. They were the grandparents of Stanley Baldwin, who later became a Prime Minister.
The house was a bustling hub for their ten children, with the majority likely being born there. Notably, their son Alfred, who would achieve fame and fortune, went on to be the father of Stanley Baldwin. Among their four daughters were Lucilla, Eliza, Sarah Ann, and Mary Jane, each affectionately referred to as “The Pert, The Pretty, The Pious, and The Proud,” though it’s unclear who each description referred to….
